OpenCode integration

Use OpenCode with hosted Codius models.

Launch OpenCode through Codius App and the App supplies your connected Codius provider and default model for that session. No provider file or copy-paste setup is required.

Availability

What is supported today.

Codius distinguishes desktop-provider support from hosted Codius API support so setup expectations remain clear.

AvailableOpenCode

Connect one Codius API key in App settings, keep automatic model access enabled, then choose OpenCode when you start a session.

Requirements

Before connecting OpenCode.

  • Codius App and an installed OpenCode client.
  • An active Codius Pro or Max plan for hosted Codius models.
  • A Codius organization API key with model and inference scopes.
  • Network access to the Codius API.

Setup

Connect OpenCode to Codius.

  1. 01

Create a Codius organization and subscribe to a Pro or Max Coding Plan.

  2. 02

Create an organization API key and copy the secret while it is visible.

  3. 03

In Codius App, open Host Settings → Providers → Codius models.

  4. 04

Paste the key, connect it, and leave automatic model access enabled.

  5. 05

Start an OpenCode session. Codius App supplies the provider and selected default model only to that session.

Behavior

Accounts, plans, and data flow.

Authentication
Codius App stores the key in the host's protected model-access store. OpenCode receives it only in the environment of the launched session.
Model catalog
The App validates the key against the current Codius model catalog and remembers the selected default model.
Billing
Hosted model requests consume the active organization's Codius included usage and, when enabled, wallet credit.
Your existing configuration
Codius does not overwrite OpenCode configuration files. An explicit provider or model selected for a Codius workspace still takes precedence.

Important distinction

Know which product layer you are configuring.

OpenCode remains its own coding agent. Codius App coordinates the session, supplies model access when requested, and keeps repositories, tools, and agent processes on the host you control.

Run OpenCode from the Codius command center.

Keep the agent, terminal, worktree, browser, and review flow together while retaining the provider account you already use.
