Claude Code integration

Run Claude Code from the Codius command center.

Connect one Codius key in App settings and Claude Code receives the Codius provider and default model when the App launches it. You can still use Claude Code's existing provider account.

Availability

What is supported today.

Codius distinguishes desktop-provider support from hosted Codius API support so setup expectations remain clear.

Automatic Codius model accessClaude Code

Codius App prepares Claude Code through session-scoped environment settings. It does not rewrite Claude Code configuration files.

Requirements

Before connecting Claude Code.

  • Codius App installed on macOS, Windows, or Linux.
  • An installed Claude Code client available to the local Codius environment.
  • A Codius organization key and active Coding Plan for Codius models, or an existing provider account.
  • Access to the repository and Git tooling required for the coding task.

Setup

Connect Claude Code to Codius.

  1. 01

Install Claude Code using Anthropic's official instructions and confirm the local command runs.

  2. 02

In Codius App, open Host Settings → Providers → Codius models.

  3. 03

Connect one organization API key and keep automatic model access enabled.

  4. 04

Behavior

Accounts, plans, and data flow.

Provider choice
Disable automatic Codius model access or choose an explicit workspace provider to use Claude Code's existing account behavior.
Repository access
Claude Code and Codius App run locally with the repository permissions granted by the user.
Codius role
Codius supplies the session model settings, visible workspace, worktree organization, terminal, browser, and review surfaces.
Configuration safety
The automatic integration is scoped to the launched process. Codius does not edit Claude Code's user or project configuration.

Important distinction

Know which product layer you are configuring.

Claude Code remains the agent; Codius App coordinates its workspace and can supply Codius model access at launch. Explicit workspace settings always take precedence over the automatic default.

Run Claude Code from the Codius command center.

Keep the agent, terminal, worktree, browser, and review flow together while retaining the provider account you already use.
